PDS-3D Updates

New in version: O/25.0

Undo / Redo for Piece & Rigid Parts Movement and rotation

This new functionality allows users to easily undo or redo any changes made to pieces or rigid part movements and rotations in 3D. This includes actions done using all available tools such as 3D Move, 3D Rotate, 3D Scale, and 3D Transform. It also includes actions executed using keyboard shortcuts.

This enhancement offers greater flexibility and efficiency by allowing users to quickly correct mistakes or revisit previous adjustments during the design process.

This new functionality allows customization of the exported GLB file.

It enhances user efficiency and improves compatibility with third-party software.

Users can now tailor the export settings to better align with the specific requirements of their workflow, reducing the need for manual adjustments or additional processing .

Saving Garment in gLTF / GLB Format

3D stitch operations list file location

Starting in version O/25.0 The TechOperationsList.json file location can now be customized and placed whenever the user wants including a shared network folder. This can allow several users to use the same list that is kept up to date for everyone.

The folder location can be determined in the preferences:

Compare Length: new menu items to Copy/Paste functionality

You can now use the new right click menu items Copy and Paste to apply values from the Compare Length table to other elements such as notch grading etc…

Enhanced Rectangular Piece Creation tool

Added an option to include dynamic grading points on the newly created rectangle based on the selected segments.

Reducing manual adjustments, improving accuracy, and speeding up the construction process.

For example: In 3D, the feature facilitates segment division to quick adding 3D Stitches:

Piece Information Text enhancements

Piece information text enhancements are aligned in Marker & PDS. They include more flexibility in the text shape, size, rotation and more…

• Piece Description Is now named Piece Information Both in Piece Properties and Preferences.
• A new Preferences and Piece Properties option allows you to keep all information in a single line, instead of the default: several lines:
• When using a single line, the separator symbol can be selected in the preferences:
• The Piece information text can now be re-sized visually directly with the piece on the desk.This is done simply by clicking the text to display the box handles and then dragging as needed:The text is re-sized:
• The Piece information text can now be rotated visually directly with the piece on the desk:

Note: Starting in version O/25 you can also use the Rotate Contour or Text tool, with piece information text.

Script Builder

The Optitex Script Builder provides an easy to use GUI with which you can create batch scripts for both Marker & PDS.

• A script can combine a chain of commands. it is now easier to create a complex script for multiple files with multiple different actions and parameters.
• You can create and save templates to be used in generic processes.

• You can search for commands using the search box.
• Commonly used commands can be pinned on top.
• You can also generate batch processes for all files included in a folder without have to specify each and every file.
• The status bar shows more information about the selected command

Standard Open File and Save As dialogs

From version 25 and onwards, the Open File and Save As dialogs are standard windows browse dialogs.

This includes the libraries and folders side bar, the search options, the refresh and the display options:

Extended the Character Limit for the Material Field in DXF file

Importing DXF files, is now allowing more detailed material descriptions, as the number of characters has been extended.

The new limit is 256 characters.

Marker Updates

New in Version O/25.0

Nest ++Pro Multicore New version

Version O/25 includes the new nest ++ pro version: version 8.

The new nesting version algorithm provides significantly better results (in the vast majority of the cases) in terms of nesting performance and material utilization efficiency

To be able to use the new nesting version you should upgrade your Code Meter nesting dongle to version 8..

Production Diagram (Beta)

Production Diagram is included in Version O/25 in a state of Beta and is still in development.

The Production Diagram system is a new feature in Marker, allowing users to create detailed production diagrams for car seats, furniture, transportation interiors, and the apparel industry.

Users may load and filter pieces for production processes (e.g., cutting, sewing, assembly), arrange and annotate them on the marker table, add symbols, text, and arrows for clarity.

The tool focuses on creating cutting plans, with automatic updates reflecting changes made to pattern pieces in PDS.

This system streamlines production workflows by centralizing operations in Marker, eliminating the need for third-party apps. It enhances efficiency and accuracy, reduces switching between software, and ensures consistency by synchronizing updates from PDS to the production diagram

 Note:

• This Is still in development and released as Beta only
• A dedicated license module is required.

Script Builder

Introduced real time Nesting progress monitoring and interim markers saving options

Enhanced previous partial functionality, now allowing much more with UI control.

• Looking at real time nesting improvements in a log file: Every improvement is indicated in the file with:
  • A serial number,
  • The time stamp
  • The efficiency
  • The marker length.
• Control Log File location, as needed
• Save indeterminate markers, as needed.
  • The saved markers are numbered according to the serial number in the log file.
• Start saving intermediate markers only after the specified time.
  • Allowing to reduce the high amount of markers because of the rapid changes at the very beginning of the nesting.

These options can be configured in the Preferences:

Here is and example using a sample marker nested for 5 minutes:

The CSV file is created as soon as the nesting starts and is being updated in real time.

Data Exchange: New custom export format introduced.

The new format is named Custom DXF it includes a new value in the Export Dictionary: Bundle Code

This allows appropriate Zund cutters which have this functionality, to utilize a projector highlighting the pieces in different colors according to bundles.

Print & Cut

A new installer is available for the Print & cutplugin for Adobe.AI 2024 and 2025.
